Challenges

Technical Environment Constraints
  • Acclimating to the technical environment of Atlasman was no easy feat. It required organizing several meetings with direct platform users to gain a better understanding of the highlighted issues.

ADOPTING NEW DESIGN SYSTEM
  • Introducing the new internal design system of Air France, "Daisy," posed a significant challenge. The task was to create the first project from scratch using this system, aiming to make it a flagship example within the organization.

Prioritizing 28 Identified Needs
  • Discovering 28 distinct needs through 8 interviews led to the challenge of finding effective methods to prioritize these requirements within the redesign process.

User-Centered Design Pitfalls
  • A classic pitfall to avoid was designing the application based solely on personal preferences. This is why multiple interviews and tests were conducted to thoroughly incorporate the needs of our end users.

OUTCOMES

The Atlasman project has been one of my favorites at Air France, as I was able to apply a complete design thinking method from start to finish. Working closely with developers, we redesigned the interface to offer a smoother and more intuitive user experience. The wireframes were carefully crafted to simplify navigation and enhance the identification of projects based on user roles. This experience has been particularly rewarding and has strengthened my passion for user-centered design.
